Can't Select Spotify On Alexa App Android

Has your smart speaker become a beloved member of your family? From its spot on your kitchen counter, bedside table, or living room entertainment unit, these devices can provide hours of audio entertainment. Spotify Free users will be able to hear their favorite music on even more smart speakers, including from Amazon, Sonos, and Bose.

To quote the bit about Connect 'Spotify Connect - Through your phone Spotify app, select your Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, or Tap from the device list using Spotify Connect. When using Connect, you can use basic voice commands like pause and skip to control playback.' Spotify Premium is available on various platforms and devices such as (Android, iOS), Computer (Windows / Mac / Linux), Smart TV, Smart Speaker (Amazon Alexa / Google Home), Console (PS4 / Xbox One), etc. Spotify Premium’s data sync allows you to control the music playing on one device via another device (for example, controlling the music playing on your PC via smartphone), which is impressive.

  • Set up your Alexa device using the Amazon Alexa App. Tap Choose default music services and select Spotify. “Alexa, play Spotify.”.
  • Select Spotify, then Link account to Alexa. Enter your Spotify account details. Set Spotify as your default service for music and podcasts so you don’t need to specify “on Spotify” at the end of your voice commands to play music: Tap the menu in the top-left. Tap Settings, then Music & Podcasts. Tap Choose default music services.
  • Select your car and get listening! Check out Spotify Everywhere to see if your car offers the Spotify app built into the dashboard. Just to note, some cars require Spotify Premium for integrated listening. Take Spotify along for the ride, no matter where you’re going or what you drive to get there.
  • Hi there, lately Alexa is adding more and more unnecessary words to the ends of her answers, like: 'and good morning!' Or 'have a great rest of your Tuesday.' Sounds nice on paper, but it's very annoying. And feels oddly like the bot is admonishing me for being too direct. Anyway, I want it to stop, but I can't find any setting that affect it.
  • When I try to set up Spotify in Amazon Alexa, it is disabled. I went to Settings Music & Media Choose Default Music Services. Spotify is there (see screenshot) but it is greyed out and cannot be selected. I have a premium account and I've tried solutions like logging in with my email instead of Facebook, etc etc. Still doesnt work.

That’s right—free users in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. /spotify-premium-free-jailbreak-ios-9.html. will, for the first time, be able to ask Alexa to play Today’s Top Hits, their Discover Weekly, or a custom-made playlist on their Amazon Echo or Fire TV. Free users around the world can also set up Spotify Connect with their Sonos speakers directly from the Spotify app. Spotify Connect works with all Sonos speakers, including the new Sonos Move, a durable, battery-powered smart speaker for great sound indoors, outdoors, and on the go. You can also connect wirelessly with the SYMFONISKIKEA WiFi Speaker—fully integrated in the Sonos Home Sound System—to play music in any or every room for a rich, home-filling sound.

Spotify Free Users can now start streaming through their Bose smart speakers and soundbars as well. Through Spotify Connect, you can use Spotify on your smartphone or desktop as a remote to get the jams going.

To play music using your Smart Speaker through Spotify Connect, first make sure that your Sonos or Bose system is updated to the latest firmware. Then open the Spotify app on your phone, laptop or tablet. Play any song, then select the “devices” icon. Finally, select the device you want to stream from and start listening.
