However I think I found a way of getting it back. What I have done is working on my android samsung S9+ I will list the steps below:

1. I cleared the cache and storage of the incontrol app this reset the app. On starting the app and going through the tour I see spotify is back2. I downloaded https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netspark.firewall I used this app to block Jaguar incontrol apps internet connection
3. I turned off automatic app updates in the play store.
